Allygroup is seeking experienced paralegals to join a federal government agency. This is an opportunity to gain experience in professional services and create long-lasting contacts in a government agency. The position is in a fast-paced and exciting environment dealing with numerous complex pieces of legislation. Candidates will be assisting in the department's privacy branch.
This is a 6 month secondment opportunity with the possibility of further extensions.
Candidates must be based in Canberra and be available at least 4 days per week.

assist in the management of subpoena, notices and other paralegal and administrative tasks
be able to think strategically and apply real life circumstance to legal frameworks
have the ability to interpret complex legislation
be confident working on complex and routine matters daily
support and facilitate excellent legal outcomes
be able to manage time effectively to ensure tight deadlines are met
have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and
attention to detail and accuracy.
Candidate's must also be studying a law degree, or possess other relevant tertiary qualifications.
