Senior Employment Lawyer (EL1 equivalent)
Allygroup is seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to provide legal advice and assistance in relation to employment law matters, including industrial relations, WHS, discrimination, and superannuation law, as well as responding to employment-related disputes. This is a secondment opportunity commencing in late July or early August 2026 and continuing through to 30 June 2027.
The team also manages the Department's employment related litigation (including matters in the Fair Work Commission and responding to inquiries from the AHRC).
Candidates must be Australian citizens and either hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Baseline security clearance.
Canberra-based candidates who are available to work on a full-time basis are preferred. However, remote working arrangements and part-time hours will be considered for the right candidate.
Our ideal candidates:
Minimum of three years PAE
Relevant experience in employment law
Previous experience in advising Commonwealth agencies on employment, industrial and WHS matters would also be highly desirable
