Allygroup is seeking an experienced Legal Review Manager to join ASIC's disclosure review team. The secondment is initially set for three months, with the possibility of up to two additional three-month extensions.
Location
The successful candidate must work in-person at the Sydney offices. Please note that hybrid working arrangements are not offered for this position.
Eligibility
Applicants must be Australian citizens, be qualified as a lawyer with a minimum of two years post-admission experience, and hold a baseline security clearance.
About the Role
As Legal Review Manager, you will oversee a team of 10–15 paralegals, ensuring that disclosure obligations are met with the highest standards of accuracy and quality. You will play a critical role in a major regulator’s operations, refining processes and contributing to the efficiency of large-scale legal reviews.
Previous Experience Required
Proven experience in managing document reviews for discovery or disclosure, including leading teams.
Familiarity with disclosure obligations and legal frameworks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with technology-assisted review platforms such as Nuix Discover or Relativity is highly regarded.
Strong analytical and organisational skills, with a focus on team collaboration and workflow optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborating with legal teams to develop an understanding of disclosure obligations and legal issues.
Developing and implementing review strategies and protocols to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Managing document review processes, addressing first-level queries, and escalating complex issues as needed.
Leading, mentoring, and providing performance feedback to document reviewers.
Coordinating with evidence analysis consultants to batch documents, monitor review trends, and conduct quality assurance checks.
Analysing review metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices.
Monitoring review outputs and providing progress updates to stakeholders regarding consistency and timeframes.
