Allygroup is seeking a Design, Develop and Deliver Security Training Specialist (APS6 equivalent) to join a high-profile federal government agency for an initial 12-month labour-hire arrangement, with the possibility of an extra 12-month extension.
Candidates must be located in Canberra, available on a full-time basis, and hold a minimum of an NV1 security clearance.
Our ideal candidates:
Holds qualification and/or demonstrated experience in training and assessment.
Has previous experience in Protective Security.
Has experience or knowledge of the overseas security environment.
Key duties include:
Deliver presentations and facilitate training sessions for staff and external agencies.
Develop innovative, relevant, diversity-enabled, and culturally sensitive learning solutions for officers, including designing and developing associated training, support, and instructional materials.
Design and deliver training using various modalities such as face-to-face, virtual, eLearning, or blended learning options, as required and practical.
Continually analyse and review training curricula to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
Develop training strategies and produce outcome briefs and other high-level briefs for the Executive.
Identify security training and capability gaps, and determine strategies to reduce these through continual monitoring and refining of training to build and enhance security capability.
Oversee the scheduling of security training and prioritize the enrollment of course participants.
Interpret, apply, and enact security policies and procedures, and educate others on these aspects.
Review and modify security training content to ensure it addresses emerging security risks, remains current with the security framework, uses adult learning principles, and considers the diverse staffing profile.
Liaise and collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to understand and refine security training needs.
Manage administrative support tasks related to training attendance and other training administrative duties.
Assist with the development and management of the Diplomatic Security Officer Development Program.
Deliver innovative approaches to building capability across the network to meet future demands.
Prepare briefing materials and policy guidance to inform and guide the department and its personnel.
Perform other ad-hoc duties as directed by senior management.
