EL1 Financial Analyst / Financial Policy Analyst (Min NV1 required)

Allygroup is seeking an experienced EL1 Financial Analyst to support a high-profile Federal Government department.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a strategic initiative focused on improving asset management and financial reporting processes within a national security-focused portfolio.

  • Eligibility: Australian Citizenship and a minimum NV1 security clearance are mandatory.

  • Contract Term: Expected to commence in January 2026 and conclude in January 2027.

  • Engagement Type: Labour-hire arrangement.

Project Overview:

The department maintains an internal database to track physical and financial assets. While SAP is the official system for financial reporting and asset management, discrepancies between SAP and the internal database have been identified. Additionally, a newly established Asset Equipment Refresh function requires process definition and optimisation to ensure consistency and compliance across the asset lifecycle.

Scope of Work:

Asset Data Validation & Process Improvement

  • Reconcile asset records between SAP and the internal database.

  • Identify and resolve data inconsistencies.

  • Document and enhance the Asset Equipment Refresh process.

  • Provide recommendations to improve data accuracy, streamline workflows, and reduce operational risk.

Capitalisation & Financial Management

  • Advise on financial planning, budgeting, and accounting in line with recognised standards.

  • Develop strategic financial forecasts and plans.

  • Lead budgeting and financial analysis activities, including scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.

  • Manage capitalisation of assets and depreciation accounting.

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Prior Federal Government finance experience is highly desirable.
